Ugle is a wooden device designed to be set anywhere in your living space, that receives messages via the web.
Via your smart phone or the web you can send color coded messages to your home or friends. Together with the receiver you can develop your own language of what each color means and transmit them from wherever you are.
For instance:
- Yellow – “I’ll be home soon”
- Grey – “Work is boring today”
- Blue – “I’ll make dinner”
The inventor describes it as “a form of slow messaging with a physical, place-specific and glanceable output”. The device has its own networking hardware and doesn’t need to be connected to a computer. You just need power and WiFi.
