Flower Power – bluetooth plant sensor [CES 2013]

Flower Power - plant sensorFrench-based Parrot, a company that produces various wireless devices, released Flower Power, a digital plant sensor, on this years CES (International Consumer Electronics Show). Flower Power is a little device your stick in the soil of your garden or pot, it then immediately collects data like humidity, sunlight & fertiliser. The device allegedly features up to 6 month battery life and communicates via low-powered Bluetooth with up to 50 feet/15 meters range with your mobile device or tablet.


Flower Power’s mobile app is linked to Parrot Cloud and features a library of 6000 plants in its database, so it can figure out your specific plant’s needs. Whenever your plant desires something, it will then alert you directly via push notification.
