dontflush.me

Today is World Water Day, so I’m presenting you a project aiming to reduce pollution of New York City harbour’s water called dontflush.me

The system consists of custom-built sensors measuring the water level of Combined Sewer Overflows that open up when the sewer system is overwhelmed and dumps wastewater into New York waterways.

The collected data is available to users on dontflush.me, via text message and alerts on in-home visualisation devices via Visualight and helps users decide if it’s a good time to save water.
